For the 5th consecutive year, the Dreams of Sick Children was held on the second Saturday of October at the legendary circuit of Dijon-Prenois. Always organized by the Lions Club of Dijon who brings a lot of volunteers, especially for that day. It is important to remember that this event is made for children, to get them out of their hospital and of course the dream of being in board Ferrari present. Baptisms, entertainment and raffle are used to raise funds for medical research. And for everyone to enjoy, the entrance remains free, tribune and paddock access included.
The aim was to bring together 100 Ferrari, with the help of Ferrari Club France. According to my information, approximately 70 cars that responded present, from all over France, Switzerland and Luxembourg. As most meeting "track", here little or no historical models. The average age should be about 10 or 15 years. But that does not prevent us from having racing versions like the old Challenge. We were fortunate this year to see some really new models including the latest 488 GTB.
Just start with a new and exclusive model as limited: the 458 Speciale A. Its sober dress and class leaves nothing guess 605hp hiding under the hood.
Keep in style with this well-known F12 belonging to Marcel Massini, author and historian Ferrari.
The 550 Barchetta remains a master drawing of Pininfarina, but I admit that the gray is not the color I would have chosen on if I was one of 448 owners. It is the exemplary 312.
We are not particularly arrived early, but the paddock is already full. We take the opportunity before the crowd surrounds all models. The V8 Berlinettas are in number.
Is it still necessary to present the LaFerrari? Discovered last year under the same conditions, I did not remake a lot of pictures because there are barriers, the world around and I would have had the same result as in 2014, I invite you to review. I expect to find it on the track!
We are on the deck of the stands, the first track riders are ready, the start is not slow. Porsches competition will turn most of the day. Big pace for pilots!
But it was not counting on 458 Challenge which will make short work of German Stuttgart.

Here is one of the oldest Ferrari presents: a 512 BB
It's almost the complete family of Boxer engines that is present with the Testarossa and 512tr. Some of my colleagues get tired of not seeing a lot of old, but with the current inflation even Testarossa will become rare, because their owners do not dare to take them out. Us, we have enjoyed!
The morning graced us with bright sunshine, although there were not many degrees at the thermometer. The weather is always a key point for the success of such an event. The paddock is full and the public rushes.

Continue the visit of the paddock with two well-known models. The first is the 308 Gr4 with Pioneer colors, piloted in the 80s by Jean-Claude Andruet
The second is the 348 Barchetta already crossed right here in 2014 and several times Sport & Collection.
The 550 and 575M Maranello beginning to age, but their rating remains correct. Probably a good short-term investment. This charming woman seems to be convinced.

This 348 tb is just wonderful (except the rims that I personally do not like) and his condition is impressive.

The paddock is full, the queues for baptisms never end. I do not have numbers, but I can say that this edition was a success.
While I was off the LaFerrari to appreciate the lines, I see pass an Enzo. Small pleasant surprise.
I was surprised not to see F40 (the usual in the area), but it was not until late afternoon that Yan Denes sends me an SMS to tell me that one has arrived. In principle, I have not crossed the barriers that would have led me to her because I already know. I just noticed a detail that I think I have ever seen on a F40: the wheel caps with the Cavallino.
Ferrari still have the head of the poster, but other brands are not repressed. Here is a selection among the many models present. A Lotus Exige first generation that did not stay long.

Among the events, as I have said, there was the Army, the Fire Brigade, racing simulators, masseurs, outdoor games, makeup artists ... But I admit I was attracted to this man with a falcon. Member of an association that also deals with children, he compared the bird performance with those of Maranello cars. It may indeed bite 300km / h.
Turning to the dynamic part with the trackside. No accreditations for us but openings in the grilles are used to move the lens and make beautiful pictures anyway. We do several series and above many hundreds of pictures. I grouped by model for clarity. You will find that some pictures are dark. In the afternoon, the sky is covered particularly likely to keep the freshness of the morning!

To conclude we were able to do two laps for the parade aboard a Lotus Elise. Great time.
A beautiful day, a little cool, which has restored smiles to many children and brightens the eyes of many car fans. Obviously we crossed regulars Ferrari meetings. An enthusiastic family that continues to grow. Also thank you to our hosts for the welcome and hospitality!
